I am importing my customer database from MS Excel into MoCo. What do I need to take note of ?
Firstly, make sure that the first row of your excel file is the field names. The field names of your excel file do not have to match exactly with the field names of MoCo.
Secondly, at the configuration settings of MoCo, under the "Default Import Address Book Delimiter" group, update the spreadsheet name of the excel file you are going to import (See below picture). Remember to save by clicking OK.
When I import my MS Excel file into MoCo, the mobile phone column has a ".0" appended to it. How do I rectify this ?
Microsoft Excel tends to append a ".0" to fields that consist of all numbers. To rectify this, you need to convert the column into TEXT using MS Excel BEFORE importing into MoCo.
See section 2.6.2 of MoCo User Manual for the details on how to do this.
MoCo User Manual is installed into your computer together with your MoCo software. You can also download the user manual from here.
When starting MoCo, I encounter the error message "No modem detected. Please check GSM terminals connection and restart the application after 1 minute." What could be the problem ?
MoCo is unable to detect the gsm modem. Please check the following items:
The gsm modem driver is successfully installed. See section 1.1 of the MoCo User Manual for steps to install the gsm modem driver.
The gsm modem is plugged into a usb port of your computer.
You have inserted a SIM card into the gsm modem and close the slot cover.
The LED light of the gsm modem should be blinking. If the LED light of the gsm modem is not blinking, it means it has not established connection with the telecom base station. Wait a while for it to blink. If it still does not blink after 1 minute, plug out the gsm modem and plug in again.
